Aran H. Dokovna, CPA
Aran was born in 1944 in Inglewood, CA. He graduated from Washington High School in 1962 and attended El Camino College and L. A. Harbor College, receiving an Associate in Arts degree in 1967. Aran then received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California State University at Long Beach in 1967. Then, he received a Juris Doctorate from Southwestern University in 1975 and became a certified public accountant in 1969. He was then admitted to the California State Bar in 1975.
Aran has practiced accounting since 1967 and conducted certified audits of various types of entities from non-profit organizations to service industries to food importing companies. His experience includes providing monetary management, accounting, and tax service to entertainment industry clients. He was an Internal Revenue Agent from 1970 to 1974, conducting income tax compliance audits of individuals, partnerships, and corporations including public companies. From 1974 through 1980, Aran was an audit manager with the United States Department of Energy’s Economic Regulatory Administration. During this employment, he was responsible for the compliance audits of various major oil companies.
Aran was a licensed real estate broker from 1978 until 2014.
The main focus of his accounting practice is providing accounting services to all business clients and tax services to all clients. He is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and an active member of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association and the Santa Clarita Valley Bar Association. He is also a member of the American Academy of Attorney-CPAs and a technical advisor to the Sierra Pacific Flyfishers and the Santa Clarita Valley Casting Club.
Aran recently retired from active practice of accounting and law. He has been married for 45 years to his wife Terri and has two children, a daughter in Seattle and a son in San Francisco. He frequently fly fishes with his son Daniel. His daughter, Kimberly, has three children who call him Gramps.
Catherine A. Lynskey, CPA
Catherine was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Catherine received a Bachelor of Science in Business with an emphasis in Accounting from Woodbury University in 1996. Catherine’s experience includes 33 years at this firm and five years in the private industry primarily in real estate management. Catherine is a QuickBooks Professional Advisor and has worked with small businesses in setting up their accounting systems. As well as QuickBooks, she has also worked with ACCPAC, Peachtree, and Timberline Software. Catherine works with businesses in the garment industry, rental industry, professionals, and she has over 30 years of experience working with construction subcontractors. Catherine, in the past, has served on College of the Canyons Bond Oversight Committee and served as Treasurer for The Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry. She has been involved in various education committees in the Saugus Union School District and Valencia High School. Catherine lives in Santa Clarita Valley, with her husband Timothy, a retired Police Officer. She is the mother of three adult children Trevor, a teacher in San Jose, Kevin, a Union Electrician, and Kirsten, who is working toward her Nursing degree. She is also the proud grandmother of her granddaughter Chloe!
Frank M. Roth, CPA
Frank graduated from California State University at Northridge in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He has taken additional accounting courses at UCLA extension and California State University at Northridge. He has practiced accounting since 1974 and became a certified public accountant in 1976. He became a partner in the firm of Pakull, Silver & Roth in 1979 which eventually evolved to merge with the present firm. His areas of accounting and tax experience include extensive garment manufacturing, retail sales, and real estate. He is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He serves on the board of directors of his homeowners association as treasurer and has served in various community organizations and provided pro bono services.
Brandon M. Schindelheim, CPA
Brandon has been in the accounting industry since he graduated from the University of California Los Angeles in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Minor in Accounting. In 2006, he received a Juris Doctorate degree with a Concentration in Tax from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law. He is licensed as an attorney and Certified Public Accountant in the State of California.
Experience at Deloitte & Touche LLP and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP provided him with extensive tax and accounting knowledge and experience servicing individual and business clients. While working at those “Big 4” accounting firms, he specialized in foreign tax planning from a US perspective for high-net worth individuals and Fortune 500 companies. He also worked for Fortune 500 companies like Dole Food Company Inc. and AECOM Technology Inc. in their corporate tax departments for many years.
In his spare time, he enjoys watching sports and rooting for Los Angeles teams where he grew up seeing the Lakers and UCLA Bruins win championship after championship. He lives with his wife Lisa and two daughters Lilia and Jaclyn in the San Fernando Valley.
Mark R. Schwartz, CPA
Mark was born in Los Angeles, CA. Mark graduated from California State University at Northridge in 1976 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He has practiced accounting since 1976 and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1981. His areas of accounting and tax experience include extensive manufacturing, distribution, entertainment, information technology, real estate, and many others. He is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Mark is extremely proud of his son Adam, a military veteran and holder of a Master's Degree in Creative Writing from the University of New Orleans.
